Qualification & Experience-
i. A Master’s degree in Library Science /Information Science with at least 55% of the marks
or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic
record set out in these Regulations.
ii. At least thirteen years’ as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’
experience as a College Librarian.
iii. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.
iv. Desirable : A M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/
Documentation/achieves and manuscript-keeping.
v. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based
Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations
shall be a mandatory requirement.

Application in the prescribed form is to be downloaded from our website www.rbu.ac.in from 01/10/2018 to 14/11/2018 (up to 4 pm) and submitted personally or by post to “The Registrar, Emerald Bower Campus, 56-A B.T Road, Kolkata – 700050” on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and other University holidays along with Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- [in case of SC/ST/ Differently abled (Physical as well as Visual)] and Rs. 500/- [General candidates] in favour of RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY payable at ‘KOLKATA’. The candidate is also required to submit / forward six photocopies of the application form along with one set of requisite testimonials.
Fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview. The University
reserves the right to decide the number of candidates to be called for interview for a particular post. Incomplete applications are liable to be cancelled. Candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel.
