Essential Qualifications:
(i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in a point scale and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
(ii) A pass in UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline
(OR)
Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science in accordance with University Grants Commission Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

The envelope containing the filled in application should carry the superscription “Application for the post of Assistant Professor in the Subject of ___________________ and Librarian, Physical Director in the category of_____________ at Periyar University Constituent Arts and Science College, Edappadi” on the left hand top corner. Tamil Nadu, India” either by Registered post or submitted in person, so as to reach the same to this office on or before 5.00 p .m. 06.03.2017. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
